iPhone as an alarm clock?

Does the iPhone include an option to use it as an alarm clock?

I got no proper clock in my room so I get woken up by my cell phone every morning. It slowly starts to fall apart now, so that would be a good excuse to get an iPhone, but I still need to get up in the morning (or at least that's what my company claims).

I use my iPhone as an alarm clock even though I have a perfectly good one next to me on the night stand. It's habit, I suppose.

It's in the clocks/time/whatev app

you better beleive it does.

Sadly though it is little more than a glorified Bizet alarm (uses your ringtones as alarm options).

Personally I prefered the clasic iPod style of letting you hose a play list.

None the less its 7 and I am up in time for school so I guess it will do.

I love it!

I love the alarm! I'm a light sleeper and wake up gently to the harp alarm, but they have much more obnoxious ones to choose if you need more help to wake up. (It has a 9 minute snooze, but I've read on here that some people set multiple alarms at 3 or 4 minute intervals with increasingly annoying sounds.)

I also like the ability to set up multiple alarms with descriptions to remind you want the alarm is for! I have 4 kids and it helps to remind me which kid needs to go where and when to pick up!

The iPod sleep timer is nice, too!

I use the alarm clock feature all the time on my iPhone when I away from home -- or at least not sleeping near my regular alarm clock. It works great!

It's now my only alarm - I love the fact I can set two alarms for the morning - one at 7 to get me slowly awake (one of the quieter subtle ringtones) and then the full on church bells to get me out of bed at 7.30! The working week/5 day option is very handy.

Bloody Sleep

Its over 4 months i have had the iPhone and i have been using the alarm for 4 months and i keep next to bed.

However, i am always away before the alarm wakes me up. So i have never heard the alarm in the morning. I get up 2 minutes before the alarm and turn the alarm off. But strange thing is - i check the alarm time every night just in case i dont wake up in the morning before alarm rings- although i know i will be up before the alarm buzzes.

What the heck...... eh/

thats what i do! and i usually make it a very loud and upbeat song to make sure it gets my attention

It's already bad enough I have to wake up randomly from my work phone going off at odd hours of the night! I don't want to think of my iPhone like I do that other evil piece of junk.

it doesnt go off if its locked and no matter what i have tried it hasnt been able to go off when.

So i have had to keep my old phone to use the alarm. My only real gripe about my IPHONE.

Return it and get one that works! It's an important feature (to me, at least!)

sounds like a problem with you or your phone's software.

i couldnt live without my iphone alarm clock.

you can set specific days you want it to go of.. and i have classes and different times on diff days.

so i have multiple alarms set for say.. Mon/Wed @ 9am, and one for Tues/Thurs @10am, and a diff one for friday.

like i said, i seriously couldnt live without my iphone alarm clock function.

I use the alarm function as my sole alarm and it works flawlessly. I sleep my phone each night (but do not require a pass code) and it always goes off, even if I left it in vibrate mode.
