I am looking for a better webcam experience! The MacBook Air M1 camera is poor and the C920 is not so exciting... Was thinking of using my iPhone front-facing camera instead. Zoom and teams mostly.

1. What software is best? Great to be able to have some control over settings.
2. What hardware is best? Looking to position iPhone behind MacBook some of the time, above or beside a 27-inch monitor the rest of the time. A lightweight solution would be useful for travel!

I played with a few iPhone webcam apps while using an iPhone as a webcam — and the conclusion I came to was — use a dedicated webcam. An iPhone makes for a lame webcam.

Thanks, really useful. Guess I will have a look at Fuji cameras.
