IPhone Ask For Apple ID Password When Downloading from App Store

    So previously when i download any apps from the app store, there was no issue. Just download and wait. Now i get the message a code has to be sent to the phone number associated with the account. Then it ask to enter my apple id password and option is not now or settings. I put settings and then enter my password. First off, this is my apple id password right and not icloud? How many passwords are there? Because when i type it in, nothing happens... it just looks like its loading where you cannot click on cancel nor sign in.

    Also only way to get out of this screen is to click the top power button etc. But when i do this and click on app store, shows a blank screen and nothing loads. Only way to fix this issue would be power off phone and power it on... only way to get back to the app store.

    I tried typing both my apple id password and the icloud password. Nothing loads...

    It appears that you activated 2FA which is why a code is sent to a trusted device (your phone number associated with the account).

    i wonder if anyone else has seen this or have any ideas on why it's happening. Whenever my phone on IOS 12 shows app awaiting an update and i update them. They all update correctly but this is always followed by an error message saying app store not available.

    Hi. Well i never receive any code to the phone number i use though. So what do i do here then?

    Still having the same issue. I try to download an app from app store but can't because i type in my password for apple id and it doesn't even do anything.


    It shows


    apple id password

    enter the password for

    x@email.com


    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx


    Nothing loads...

    Still having same issue. I cannot install a new any new app from app store because of this.


    I have 2 passwords, one for apple id and one for icloud. Neither works. How do i fix this issue?

    No i have not. I thought this issue could be fixed pretty easy on the forum.

    Okay so i went to settings and i tried to click on something where it requires my password. I type it in and it says it is incorrect. I click on something else that ask me to log into itunes. I type that in... says wrong password. Im pretty close to confident these are the passwords for each because i wrote them down but last time i had entered it correctly with it but this was a while back. Does anyone else have the same exact issue? Such as when you try to go to app store and download a free app, it says we sending a text to your number? But then it says you have to enter apple id?

    Okay so i notice in settings, there is a 1 next to review apple id phone number which ask me is this number still my current number. So do i make sure i click yes... that way any issue i have with this... its fine as long i have my number?


    Again i cant down load any app from app store.

    Okay so i logged into www.icloud.com with my apple id and my password on a separate computer. I can do this with no issue.


    But when i try to download an app from app store, first thing it does is it shows my email address associated with it and then i clicked install. Then i hear a little sound. Then i get message verification required before you can make this purchase and it shows a few numbers of the cell phone number that i have connected to it to receive sms text. Option is not now or settings and i click settings and then it ask me for my apple id password. I type in the same apple id password as the one i use to log into www.icloud.com...

    You see on the right of the yahoo.com its loading... but nothing ever happens. Below it is cancel and sign in. I typed in my apple id password and clicked sign in before this... it never loads.


    How do i fix this issue? The password for my email is my apple id password right? Because i signed in on my computer and it worked. Also when i did this, i even got a message on my phone that says another device is connecting to icloud and it ask me if its okay and i clicked ok on my phone... then i am on my icloud account on laptop with no issue. How do i fix this? I cannot download any app due to this. Also it seems like i can't even turn off find my iphone or many other options due to this. Last time i did enter my paypal account because i did order and pay for something from the app store though. But i only bought one thing.


    Before that, i don't think i had any issue with it though not 100 percent. Anyone here can help me here? Could i speak to someone on apple on the phone to fix this? Or i have to go to apple store to fix this issue?
