So since 2.0 backup has started to take a very long time to complete... and I was thinking "What are they backing up?"
1. Ipod Music/Video - Nope restore doesn't bring that back
2. Home screen layout
3. calendars
4. Contacts
5. Applications I've installed and there Data
6. Bookmarks
7. Email - configuration yes... mail nope.
Now this seems odd... I use mobileMe and so Calendars, contacts and bookmarks are pushed.. no need to backup them up. Applications are on itunes, and I even if I lost that... AppStore remembers what I bought and doesn't bill me twice for them.
So really.. all I want backed up is the home screen layout, general configuration stuff, including e-mail configuration, and data for any applications I install. Now that really shouldn't take 1hr to backup should it??? I'd say more like 5 minutes.
Let hope 2.1 addresses this...
