Ok...so I have a 3GS and a great free app called Wifi Get. Among other things, it scans around and shows you a list of all available networks. It also would show you details about the networks...much more detail than Apple.

So I upgraded my OS to 4.x and noticed that the app no longer has the ability to scan! I went back to the App Store and at the bottom of the app there is now a note that states scanning has been disabled because it's against the Agreement.

Seriously?! Apple can just ban such functionality? This was an app that I had long before the new OS and/or new Agreement.

Any comments about this topic? This is really infuriating. The iPhone is quite the wireless device and Apple doesn't want me knowing stats about the network I am on or around me?
