Is there such a thing as overcharging your IPhone battery. Can I leave it charged overnight?

Yes. It is impossible to "overcharge" a battery.

When the device has finished charging, the computer cuts the majority of the power going to the device anyways, enough to sustain the charge, but not enough to actually charge it anymore.

Thanks Ziggy. The guys at AT&T told me I would hurt the battery by charging it too much but evidently they were wrong.
