Just found a new feature in the music store there is a podcast button but when u click it it says store is unavailable

I second this. Is it defaulted sideways? Or can you view it in portrait as well? If so, is the accelerometer used in any other ways (compass, turn phone side-to-side and streetview turns with you, etc.)?

nope its just defaulted sideways it doesnt move when u move it with the accelerometer

by the looks of street view, and the little map in the corner, can it tell which way you're lookng or is it like the web-version where you drag to look around?
 
This is good news. I wonder how well it will work, if the majority of streets will have this feature enabled. Incidentally, I was in Harrogate a few weeks ago, and I saw the google street car taking photos. It had this large camera assembly on top.

This is an unreleased feature, part of the beta in fact. Even though we have all seen similar on the Android phone and in Google's desktop apps, technically this is a violation.

Like as not Apple will not do anything about it just to be nice, but they could totally throw this dummy off the program if they wanted to. I'd love to see them actually punish some of these losers myself. ;)
 
it creates hype which is what apple is all about so i doubt this individual will have any action taken against him.

Back on topic street view looks cool but i rarely use the maps section and im fairly certain there aint too many cameras out by where i live
 
So this is the feature that is going to quell the demand for real, useful features? Gimme a break.

This is stupid

Funny but I don't hear people complaining about the lack of street view. What I hear about is MMS. Copy and Paste. A2DP. But what does apple spend their development hours on? This crap that no one asked for. This is so irritating.
 
Post a screenshot

Can you post a shot of the podcast icon in the music store. This would make downloading podcasts a lot easier. I won't have to sync it everytime.
 
I hope it fixes my GPS, how is this going to work when my GPs no longer locates me anywhere?

There might be an agreement that requires keeping up to date. Or Apple just feels it needs to keep up.

The Blackberry and other Java phones already have Street View, and the rest will follow soon.

Not to mention the G-1, with its useful inclusion of a compass chip.
