Iphone bluetooth can't discover any devices?

I've tried to switch on my bluetooth to discover my friend's phones, two different phones which is a nokia and an SE, but I couldn't discover them both times, vice versa. My device is already on discoverable mode. Is there something I am not doing right? I want to transfer some pictures I took on the phone to their phones.

You can't do that. E-mail them the pictures with the iPhone.

Vaaaat?! I can't do simple things like this?! Oh man, I thought these kind of stuff are like ancient technology which I did on many phones 3-4 years ago.

Can their phones accept e-mail? Straight, normal computer-formatted e-mail? If not, then that's your one-up.
