It used to be that my iphone would skip all the time in one of my cars. That car is a 2016. I thought maybe it skipped when I got a text or some other notification but it doesn't seem that that is the case. Now, it has started to happen on my other which is a 2018. On my 2014 vehicle it wasn't an issue at all. The vehicles are different manufacturers. One vehicle does have car play and I can use that to fix the issue but the other vehicle doesn't have car play so I do prefer to use bluetooth. Does anyone else have this issue? I have a 7 plus and an 8 and they are both on iOS 11.

Not sure what you mean by 'skip' but I have a Mitsubishi SUV and there is a bug whereby if I have WiFi enabled the bluetooth will periodically drop the connection with the music system and then re-connect. It's something to do with the onboard wifi in the car polling for a signal (the wifi is only used for pre-heating/cooling) but annoyingly Mitsubishi don't acknowledge the bug, despite countless reports of it on owner forums.

Only say this in case your car has some sort of wifi issue. In my car, I just get into the habit of swiping up and disabling WiFi when I get in the car. Annoying but what can you do.

My IP8 seems to work bluetooth wise in my 2 vehicles, but I am having a problem with bluetooth in regards to my Samsung Gear Fit2. Just doesn't want to keep a bluetooth connect with the Gear Fit. On an unofficial test with my wife's IP6 S , it seems to be ok with the Gear Fit2 bluetooth connection. I'm considering going into my local Apple store and get the bluetooth connection on the IP8 checked out.
