If your home screen suddenly zooms in, just do a 3-finger tap or 3-finger double-tap to the screen to zoom it back out. I tried re-booting the phone, as well as, resetting it via iTunes without success. I even called Apple Care, but the "genius" did not know how to fix the problem. I finally came to this forum and found the solution in previous posts from 11/09. Likewise, I saved myself a trip to the "Genius Bar."
Besides my ringer, none of my sounds work. New text message, new voicemail, new mail, sent mail, calendar alerts, lock sounds and keyboard clicks... none of them work. There was another thread here about text message sounds specifically, but that did not help me. I don't really care that much about keyboard clicks and lock sounds, but I keep missing messages, which is definitely a problem. Any help?
I bought an iphone 3g today from a guy on craigslist, it was unlocked and jailbroken. i wanted to use it for t-mobile, i put my sim in and it worked. the guy then said he needed to clear it out so his contacts and everything wouldnt be in there so he took the phone for a minute and handed it back to me and said it would take a few minutes to load up.
It NEVER loaded back up just stayed stuck on the apple screen, when i got home i paniced and call apple. they walked me thru a restore problem is i had to update to restore. once the iphone restored it is now stuck in the restore mode. when it turna on it goes diectly to the screen with the usb plug and and the itunes logo, and says emergency calls only! all i know how to do is hold the power and home button to reboot but it doesnt work.
Is there anyway to fix this???
If so could somebody please walk me thru how to do it i really have know idea what im doing and im panicing because i just spent a pretty penny on this baby......please help
anything is appreciated...im lost

Has anyone else reported this? I go in to the iPod app and begin to play a song. Then when I double-click to bring up the multi-tasking and swipe left, the iPod controls are greyed out but the music continues playing. The only way I can use the controls is to open the iPod app again.
Actually, I just tried it with Pandora too and the music controls are greyed out there too.
Looks like the lock screen iPod controls are gone for me too when I double-tap.

I'm having problems with my proximity sensor...when I have the phone up to my ear occasionally my cheek or face presses the 'mute', 'speakerphone' or 'end call' buttons...the proximity sensor should prevent this from ever happening. Anyone else having this issue?
