iPhone Build week?

I just purchased my 8GB iPhone at the Apple store in my city and it appears it has a build week of 38 and in the serial number there is an S instead of the usual R that others on the forums have, Does anyone know if this is the newest shipment of iPhones?

It probably is. Most probable with the new firmware already on it!

Week 38 was last week (September 16, 2007 to September 22, 2007).

so if it says 7R##### then its 1.0.2 or older? And 7S### is the new FW 1.1.1?
