The Otterbox Defender case is waaay too bulky for me. Anyone have any other suggestions for something slim that covers the back?

Just bought the Incipio Silicrylic from AT&T. A thin silicone sheath that fits snugly around the phone. Slips into a hard plastic shell. Very svelte and provides some protection. Though this is probably a stop-gap until the Otterbox series gets released.

Pics of the the Incipio Silicrylic case in action are here:

I have an Incase case for my 3GS and my MacBook so I'm just waiting to see what they come up with. I think it's still too soon for any really innovative cases yet though.

I love the design of the bamboo cases, they're gorgeous but the bamboo colour just clashes too much with the front of the iPhone.

That otterbox defender is ridiculously ugly. I hope you carry a big purse to put that in. That's like buying a 67 mustang cobra and throwing a cover with a pinto painted on it. I don't mean to rip on the people buying that case but yikes. I'd rather cough up an extra 50 for squaretrade warranty and use my phone case-less.

The headphone jack opening on my bumper is fine with my Bose noise-canceling headphones. The connector in my car also uses a regular Apple USB cord so no problems there, either.

Well at least it's not as ugly as the 3GS defender. They seem to be trying to make it look more classy.

But as I prefer my phone naked I will most likely go with a bumper as they are not that bad.

Agreed. But even the new Otter defender is approximately 1,000 times more hideous than the bumper, but to each their own.

Sell it on eBay. They're going for $40-$60, depending on the color. I ordered a white & green one, but I think I'll sell the white one. :D

Also, I love the bumper. I've pre-ordered a GroveMade Bamboo case, which won't come in for a couple of months, so I'll probably stick with it until that comes in.

I ordered a black bumper and a blue one. They JUST came via Fedex. Haven't opened them. Probably going to return one or the other to an Apple Store...assuming they take returns on Apple.com purchases. I know they don't take pre-order Apple.com i4s back at the store, but I wonder about accessories.
