Since upgrading my iPhone 4 to 5.1.1, the phone bypasses the passcode by itself often. By that, I mean I slide to unlock and it just unlocks, when it should be asking for my passcode. I'd say it happens every 1/5 times I unlock it. I tried rebooting it a few times and it hasn't changed. Anyone else having this problem?

So you lock your phone and immediately slide to unlock and there is no code? Is there a delay in the passcode setting itself? IE: you can choose "immediately" or "5 minutes" etc. Check that.

Nope. I've had my passcode set to be required at, on various times, immediately, 1 minute, 5 minutes, and 1 hour, and the iPhone always behaved exactly as it should in each situation.

What's your passcode required timeframe?

My passcode is set at 1 minute, but I can let the phone sit for 10 minutes or 3 hours after pressing the sleep button and it unlocks without a passcode.

Have you tried removing the passcode altogether (not disabling), rebooting the iPhone and then installing the passcode as if it was the first time?

I have never seen this at all, on any of the 4 iOS phones or 3 iPads. We have a standard 5 minute delay and nobody at home ever remembers not having to enter a passcode (We have the numeric set) after the 5 minute time.

While I wont say it's impossible, I will say it's unusual and not been seen here. Is the phone JB at all?
