iPhone iPhone calendar sync problem

My iPhone's calendar app has sync problems. For example, if I change the event times on the calendar on Mac, they don't automatically reflect on the iPhone calendar app. I have to use the iPhone calendar app in order for it to sync.

Any suggestions on how I can sync them automatically?
