iPhone Camera doesn't work, how to replace?

Okay I have an iPhone 1G and when I go to take a picture with the camera it shows the whole screen purple, then I take the picture and the entire picture is purple/pink. I was thinking of buying a new camera for it on

but I don't know how to replace it, I need advice.

Not under warranty I assume. Take a look at the PDA Parts.com and their YouTube channel.

Check the serial number here to see if your phone is still in warranty.

Before you buy it, ask apple that if you bring in that piece, how much they'll fix it for. Because if it's a relatively easy fix, they might just do it for free.
