Basically, it's not about the camera you use, but HOW you use it. Also, many of the various camera apps found in the App Store can deliver pretty amazing results. Sometimes it just takes a bit of creativity, patience, and a steady hand (which my boyfriend had, but I do not) to get some pretty cool pics.

Have you tried [app=darkroom (formerly steadycam)]this app[/app]? It's great to take steady pics.

This website also has some good iPhone pics.

Also I took this pic with my iPhone, I think it looks really pretty:

if your phone is unlocked there is a program called clearcam. It takes 6 succesive photos at once. It will then align them and analyze them to give an enhanced final photo that is 4mp. It works very well. I wouldn't say the photos are twice as clear, but it will sure give a photo that has more detail and is never blurry.

C905 FTW

its the only reason why I don't want to buy an iphone (besides the contract deal), the camera is sooo bad. 4 years ago, when I had k750i,

Yep, yep, yep, the K750 camera rocked for it's time, had one my self :)

I guess it's all about what you're after in a phone. If you're a hobby photographer / want excellent photos, don't go for a camera phone as your primary tool. But then again a few years back we would be blown away by today's camera phones. aaahhh the K750 :)

The fact that the iphone camera sucks is not news. Reviews have stated this since the original iphone.

I agree. The first time I tried to take a picture was of my newborn doing something cute, I realized then there was no zoom what a crock. It makes me mad but I still love my iphone

It is terrible.

Other camera phones I've owned (Sony Ericsson's) have been fantastic. Good focus, good lens (Carl Zeiss).

I agree, Sony Ericsson makes some pretty nice camera phones. Especially there PowerShot line of phones...

The iPhone is just rubbish to the point that there is no point in even having a camera. Photos often come out blurry because there is no image stabilisation and just awful quality.

As I have said, it is there for capturing a spontaneous moment. As any photographer worth there $$$ knows, you need to be able to hold the camera still in low light (low light for a camera phone is still pretty bright to your eyes, seeing as the sensor is, and has to be, tiny...)
Perhaps you need to stop shaking so much. Is the iPhone making you nervous or something  lol

Absolutely agree. People want everything, and they want it NOW da**it!!!
Just 2-3 years back we would have killed for even a 1MP camera, that took stuff that looked slightly better than color soup :D

I have. It helps a bit, when taking something stationary.
Of course the pics I REALLY want to take are of a sudden moment, in which case apps like that don't really hep -- since by the time I'm ready, the moment's gone. The one major complaint I still have about the iPhone camera is the speed of it -- from just getting it open, to the shutter speed. It takes forever.

Thanks! Another great iPhoneographer! :D

It is indeed quite pretty! :)

Dont see why everyone says the iphone camera sucks, mine works great. Most of the pictures look like they're not even from a phone.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8320/4.5.0.81 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Thank god somebody made a thread about this. Now the world can know the truth.

OP,

Considering how many threads you've posted which almost contained all concerns/complaints about the iPhone, I think you should have considered again reading the features page of the iPhone before you even bought it. It looks like the iPhone is not for you

I can't copy paste the links of all your threads thanks to my iPhone.

i will admit, zoom would be nice. even my old phones had it, as the other features you listed lol

it DOES have zoom
except better

with a normal camera phone, you use digital zoom to zoom in and then take your picture.
With the iPhone, you take your picture and then you can pinch to zoom (also digital zoom) in as much as you want, and you can change how it looks whenever you like

It almost looks like you ran that photo through a Photoshop filter, but, even so, the quality of the photo (not the content) is still very poor quality. There's a lot of loss of detail and much of it is blurry.

Wow you guys are wanting way to much out of a phone. What you guys expecting, a photo thats like one from a camera with an amazing lens, MM, and Hd. Even if the iphone camera was 3.2MP, it still wouldnt be that much more amazing. You'd see a small difference, but MP isnt the main factor on the quality of the picture. If Apple made a 3.2 MP camera inside the phone but still kept the lens, it'd be a small difference.
