iPhone carrier settings update available?

so i just plugged in my iPhone (first gen) and got a message in itunes thats reads..."An update to the carrier settings for your iPhone is available. Would you like to download it now" with 'Cancel' and 'Download and Update' options (no download only option) Anyone else see this update? I'm in the US too on AT&T.

I saw it. It flashed by pretty quickly since I hit "Download and Update" without even thinking about it. Whatever process it undertook was very quick.

seriously what? and i just did but idk it has to do with carrier idk, maybe they messed with the required strength for 3G or something of that sort
