I tried to charge my iphone this morning, but everywhere I plugged it in it would not charge. I then tried to plug it in my computer without the adapter and it charged. Is there anyway to fix the adapter? Has anyone else experienced this?

Try plugging it into an outlet again. It's been posted that charging via computer then going back to an outlet works.
Mine "died" also but the next day, just before running over to Apple, I double-checked and it worked. It's been working since. I'm not sure what I did in the meantime. May have used computer or simply turned the phone off.
The problem has been reported as being intermittent.
