Has anyone ever changed there black iphone 4 into a white one. Ive seen ads on craigslist who can do it for 100 dollars or so. I have been wanting to get the white one for a long time. It looks really cool anyone ever do this?

Plenty of people have, even when before the white iPhone 4 was announced. You should do a search on YouTube. There are several reviews on these conversions.

this was discussed a lot before the white iphone came out. . OEM white parts are nearly impossible to find. Your camera will suffer when you use flash because it lacks a genuine diffuser and you lose out on the coating of the screen.

I cant explain much about the coating. I read it awhile back about how to spot a real white iphone with a fake white iphone. Basically the water beads like on a new car with a real iphone.

a friend of mine ...

A friend of mine did the conversion with iresq.com. Don't really remember exactly how much it cost him but I know it was more than $100. He bought the iPhone sometime before Christmas and sent it out, got it back in 4 days and it looked as if it was a genuine white iPhone. So many compliments on it as well. BUT, as stated before me it does void your warranty :(

Sell your black one and get a white one. It's gonna cost you a little bit more but it's worth it to have an official one, in my opinion.
