But don't be scared yet since this phone will be avaliable at the end of 2008. Not as sleek as the iPhone, that's for sure. For more phone information: http://www.sonyericsson.com/x1

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery...BUT why don't they quit, already. What phone would they have made if the iPhone hadn't been released? Get creative and be original, folks. The iPhone cannot be imitated by these clonker bricks with 'sleek' touch screens.

What imitation? It looks nothing like the Apple phone.

No one except the Chinese want to make an exact iPhone clone. And even they add more buttons.

Making a clone would be quick. Instead, they're trying to make something more interesting. That takes time. Heck, it's been over six months and look how little has been added to the iPhone.

The Apple way isn't the only way. Not everyone wants something that's pretty and simple, but missing some basic functionality.

This phone is a lot closer to the Toshiba G900 than any other phone.

Is it some kind of psychiatric disease to think every phone is copying the iPhone, or just mass hysteria?

Oh I get it - the only thing in common is the touch screen - so every touch screen phone is copying the iPhone! Got you now.

Exactly. Just unfortunately, Toshiba didn't take advantage of the huge screen resolution (even the videos did not look that good on the toshiba). Adding to the fact that it look like a brick.

I honestly HATE how some people think Apple's iPhone is the best in the world. Sure it has a sleek look and an amazing yet simple user interface, but that doesn't mean Apple reinvented the phone. This is how some people buy in to marketing and advertising - which apple did really well and which is why it sold really well in US.

This is not an iPhone rip off. The only reason I made this topic up is because I want to update everyone that there are other phones out there - which can be considered competition to Apple's iPhone.
