Is it because I left web pages open on safari & turned off wifi? Wasn't a problem prior to upgrade...😕

Are you talking about identity theft or something??? 😕

If you are referring to being charged for using Safari & other data using apps I suppose it would be best to first make sure you have a data plan.

I havent got a data plan - on tesco PAYG🙂 (only joking about hacking - I hope 😱)

I was wondering if it could be location services? I thought that if you exited from apps then they didn't run but I read that you have to close all safari web pages before exiting. Since I upgraded I had two requests to use location or something - one was for maps, but I assumed that if the phone was in sleep mode it wouldnt access data? 😕

Again I'm assuming that mail only retrieves when I ask it to?

Yesterday I got a text at 5.20am telling me I had £1 of credit left!

Hmmm I guess I'd turn off data roaming, turn on Airplane mode (so you don't get charged for more data) and contact Tesco to find more about your plan....

I'm honestly not sure about the location services because I don't think they require that much data. I'm on AT&T with unlimited data so I don't really know quite how Tesco operates their PAYG plans.

Also something called ipod 'on the go' - not sure what that is ?

This is probably why O2's Pay as you Go Plan has Unlimited Data.
