Hello

I have a yahoo email that I use (very normal email hence why I still use yahoo haha) but if I use the default mail app on iOS will I see a battery drop from using the yahoo mail app? The same applies to gmail. I want my mail in one place you see and I prefer the default apps.

What gives you the idea that you’d see a drop in battery? I used the stock app for a while and don’t recall anything different than what I get with Gmail or Newton.

I have Gmail, Yahooo, work, and several emails from my domains on the stock app.

I've never noticed any suspicious battery drain and I have the Yahoo mail app installed for I can use it to authenticate.

The stock mail app is so limited. There are other far superior email app with snooze function or delay send. Apple really needs to ape these features.

With that being said I never had battery drain issues with using push notification. But gmail doesn’t work with Apple push notification. It only checks the server on predetermined time (or manually) which to me is inferior.
