There has been plenty of discussion as to when the iPhone 5 is due. We will not be seeing it until 2012. They will be releasing a new iPhone in 2011 as the have done the past few years. Each year a new phone. Think of the iPhone like a car design cycle. Automobiles are typically refreshed every year, things are changed to make it new and appealing and to bring new buyers into the market as well as to bring those who are waiting for the next update in as well. Think of the iPhone in the same way. In the beginning apple released the first generation, made significant changes by bringing in the 3G and then kept it the same model but upgraded with the 3GS. They then after two years released the iPhone 4. So in 2011 we will have an upgraded 4, they will have fixed the antenna, given it some faster gear and improved the camera ect. They will do some improvements but due to the huge cost designing a new model and to keep there state of the art, they will not be changing the phone completely. I can say this with certainty due to the phones success. They won't fix what isn't broken not until 2012 or such
