There's something fragile about the 6/6 Plus? I've had one since launch day and it's just as strong as my previous iPhones and iPads. Doesn't strike me as fragile at all. Quite the opposite, actually.

maybe it's mental but the thing feels like i can snap in half with my bare hands. it's so thin and soft and light...
the iphone 4s? not a chance.. that thing feels like a tank.

The very first iPhone is by far my favorite. Hands down. I remember getting it right when they hit the stores. Remember, nothing in the world for mobile phones was like this.

My girl and I each got one and it was blow away. We immediately tried playing music through the headphones and then I called her. The music faded for both of us, we spoke for ten seconds, hung up, and the music faded back in.

The fit and finish of the first iPhone with its aluminum/metal back and sexy looking operating system and software was and still is second to none. The way it was all packaged I think is yet to be rivalled by any other iPhone or iOS release, including the latest.

I love my iPhone 6 Plus but iOS is full of tons of bugs, it's slow and choppy at the best of times, and Apps are all blown to crap on it. It's nowhere near the "experience" as the first iPhone.

On design alone I think that first iPhone stands the test of time. Of course if it were thinner it would be better but still, it's damn fine.

I'd vote for the 4S feeling the best in hand & 5 black looking the best.

Although I think the 6 will look the best when they figure out the color scheme. While the current colors offered are nice, I think an even darker color than space grey will complement the device very well.

Soft?? That's an odd thing to say about it.

put it this way, i had my iphone 4s for 3 years, without a case not a scratch is on the metal band. (im very careful with my phone)

my iPhone 6, theres a scratch on the edge of the phone, deep enough to penetrate the anodized layer - no idea how it got there, but ive been babying it since i got it on launch day.

Aluminium is indeed a softer metal to stainless steel.

Man that's hard because I've really liked them all.

If I had to choose I'd say 4/4S was the best looking, but 6 is the nicest in the hand.

Genuinely for me, the 6. I disliked the 5 and 5s I had because the edges weren't comfortable to hold for any prolonged time, the 4's screen was not big enough for my liking either. I had a 3GS and an original iPhone model too which I preferred to hold over the 4/5 models.

To me, the 6 plus. Because if it weren't for the plus, I wouldn't have come back to iPhone.

Best phone ever made!

The 4 was earth shattering though IMHO.

My Best ...

My best two - 4s and 5s in that order.

My wish - 6 to have had the 4's glass sandwich of steel band in three larger sizes from 5 - the smallest slightly bigger than the 5, next size the 6, and for the iPad mini fans the largest 6+ as released.

If I am forced to buy a new one today, it will be the slate 5s 32GB direct from Apple, unlocked and paid in full.

Favourite and wishful ...

But, erm, what's your favourite iPhone design?

1. 4/4S - I don't think any other iPhone has caused such an uproar upon its announcement since the original 4. Steve Jobs compared it to an "old school Leica", and in many ways, the 4 lived up to that description. There was nothing else like it on the market, and it's still the most solid feeling iPhone that I would have no problem sitting on (not that I'd ever put any phone in my back pocket).

Funny you'd mention that. It was my first thought when I picked my 4s up after all this time. It just feels indestructible.

I've loved every iPhone from my first 4, then 5, and now my 6 plus. The latest version has always been my favorite. While I was waiting for my 6plus to arrive, I removed my life proof case from my 5 and I really must say that it was a sweet design. So my favs go backwards from 6plus to 4. Btw, I always get whatever black model is offered.

5c > 4 > 5 > 3 > 6

Have never knowingly seen the original iPhone.

Have only briefly seen the iP6, and that was today: the 4.7" in gold. I've got an irrational dislike of gold anything. I'm sure it looks better in space grey, but it's still larger than I'd ideally like.

The iP3 case would score much higher if it wasn't for the horrid chrome(?) bezel. Lovely size, lovely 'hand feel'.

The iP5 gets the nod over the iP4 because of the lack of glazing, but I'm not a huge fan of either. Slab-sided *looks* nice but isn't the most comfortable shape to hold unless you use a case.

the iP5c is by far the best-looking, best-feeling iPhone in my opinion. Plastics FTW!

The 3GS for me

It was the perfect thickness, and easy to hold due to the rounded edges.

Wish the iPhone 6 was at least as thick as the 4 tbh

Look at this gloss blacK 3GS. AMAZING!
