iPhone Dirty Camera

Hey all,

I bought an 4 about 3 months ago and recently I've been getting very "foggy" pictures. See below. I have noticed that the surface of the camera looks speckled. The camera is well taken care of and only resides in my pocket. I make it a point to not have change or keys in my pocket or anything like that. Plus, the surface of the phone itself is in great condition. I'm not sure if there is a film I need to remove of this or not. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Try taking a cotton swab and gently twist it for 10 seconds or so. See if that does anything. Worked for me

gonna need a new back plate, costs 25 and a few pence here in the uk

I've cleaned it with a lens cleaner that I use on my regular camera with little to no results.
