I had an iPhone 4 for two years and then an iPhone 5 for two and they had next to no scratches on them. Iphone 6+ gets scratches within two weeks of having it. Does it feel like the new displays are more prone to scratches?

My 3gs, 4s and 5s scratched very easily. So did the HTC One and Moto X I owned for a while. My 6+ has been great so far, but it does have a minor scratch or two. They're all about the same as far as I'm concerned. If you're worried about scratches, put a screen protector on.

I also had iPhone 5 in just about perfect condition after 2 years of use without case, but the 6 I have now has some scratches in the glass and a ding in aluminum just after 8 months of usage. The screen scratched when I had the phone in the same pocket with a credit card and I have no idea how the ding occurred to the aluminum. Fortunately, it's just a phone. :)

Wouldn't that be the oleophobic coating?

It might be.

I don't like the feel of the screen protectors. I just assumed that my prior experiences would translate to all the future iPhone models. Perhaps the rumored sapphire screen will be the remedy to this problem.

Try a glass screen protector
