I have a UK version iPhone, running 1.1.2, which is jailbreaked and unlocked and running on Orange UK. It has been fine to date with no problems.

Suddenly this morning, my iPhone will no longer play music or podcasts through the dock connector outlet to auxiliary speakers, i.e. the Dension unit in the car or the external speakers here at home.

The internal speakers are fine, as is the outlet through the headphones. The iPhone will still sync just fine with iTunes through the dock connector.

I'm guessing that there may be a hardware fault with the dock connector itself, but before I restore my entire iPhone to Apple-warranty state [it's unlocked and jailbreaked] to take it back to Apple, which is a real nuisance - anyone got any suggestions?

Thank you for any help given.
