With the new OS 3.0, I've found that if you type in lol for short, the iPhone won't correct it. I know that's kinda random but it's pretty cool because that annoyed me a little bit at times.

I thought that got fixed earlier. I was a beta tester so maybe I'm just thinking of that. Anyway, I agree it's a welcome improvement.
also corrects "fir" to "for" REALLY appreciate that one. Don't intend to use the word "fir" all that often.

LOL is definitely for when something is really funny, lol is more of a casual small laugh or smile

for the love of god, are you able to spell the word "goose" yet??? i wish it wouldn't auto correct profanity. i get ducking annoyed every time that shot happens.

It's gotten alot better with what it does and doesnt correct.
I can finally act hardcore and curse through text messages now without waking up and realizing that I sent some innocent animal loving ducking message.
