How do you feel about the fact that stories are coming out that the Duo has the main camera from either 17e or 17 camera? To me this is basically the deal killer if it turns out to be from iPhone 17e.

Definitely not the 17e camera and I don’t expect it to be the same as the 17 either. Even if the sensor and MP might be the same, doesn’t mean it’s the same camera. The new 18 Pro’s have 256GB of storage, you’re not saying the memory chip is the same as the 14 Pro 256GB either, right?

Huh? The sensor is probably the largest determinant of overall performance followed by the lens and computational power

It's likely the iPhone 17 1/1.56" sensor according to the specs. 17e is a much smaller sensor.
iPhone 17’s main camera has 100% Focus Pixels, while the Duo’s main camera has hybrid Focus Pixels, which legitimately does indicate it could be the camera from the 17e and not the 17 🙁

Sure, but it doesn’t say anything about the quality of the components. You can put a huge sensor of low quality against a small sensor of high quality and the small sensor will give better photos. Same goes for lenses.
