iPhone Duo starts at $2000, $100 more than the Z Fold 8. This is inline with the Android competition.

The Z Fold 8 has been selling like hotcakes and it’s priced at $1899. Apple chose the right option by not going and starting the price at $2499. This means it will not suffer like the Vision Pro did with its insane $3499 price tag.
 
I am ready, will probably buy in October. I had work issued Surface Duo and as a phone, it really was miserable but as a portable device, it was great. I want it with better OS (iOS) so prepared inside and in wallet (lol)
