I know posting when nothing has been said is stupid, but i want to clarify something. In the most recent interviews with Mr. Jobs he stated that apple developed its own cache technology for the iPhone which is not present in any other mobile phone. So while EDGE may not be fast, it may look like 3G speeds because the iPhone is a real computer and if they built a cache technology specifically for EDGE speeds then i think it will make a huge difference

I thought AT&T's 3G coverage is too little, so maybe that's why they sacrificed the iPhone to adopt EDGE.

Would anyone recommend getting one now? I'm just so tempted to get one! But not a big fan of AT&T

EDGE isn't so slow that it ruins the experience for me. I find it very useable.

Getting 150-160 in Houston while in my car with full bars.

On my 3G 8525 PPC I got around 700-900 in the same situation 🙁
