Like everyone, I have a LOT of numbers, passwords, etc. that I like to keep secret. So, I worry about losing or having my wallet, or phone, or laptop stolen. What I'd like to find is software that runs on a Mac and an iPhone that let's me enter a name and an encryption key and gives me back the “real” number or password. (E.g., enter: CredCard1 and P19edRea# and my Mac or iPhone spits back 1234 5678 9012 3456 as the credit card #) Any suggestions? Or is this just a pipe dream? Sharing the same data over Mobile Me (or iCloud) would be a plus! (OK! OK! That's sorta pushing it!)

1password is prob the closest thing to what your looking for. I don't believe it does mobile me/icloud sync yet but I would imagine very likely in the future. It does offer local wifi sync and dropbox sync though.

As for security it requires a 4 digit code and a master password plus the data file is encrypted.

1password will sync using Dropbox with iPhone, iPad, Mac and PC versions.
