Hey guys, not sure if this is the right place for this or someone else has posted on this, but I couldn't find anything in a search.

So I work for the IT department of an IT company -Windows based- (yes I know) and I am bringing this up on the next IT deployment meeting to see if our company can apply for the beta and hopefully test this out.

However I am trying to get all the details and data I can so I can run this by my boss, however apple did not include much detail on there site. So I was wondering if any other company already got approved or knows something on this subject.

Part of the requirements is have a mac computer, (which I have but not going to bring my personal mac to be used for work relied things) and just wondering what exactly is it needed for? of course I can request the company to expense a mac computer but our budget isn't up to par so Im just thinking worst case.

I assume the Mac computer would be in order to develop applications that you want to distribute throughout your company and may not be required for the Exchange side of things, I could be wrong though...

I expect the people who know are under the restrictions of an NDA and can't tell you.

As has been said, I would guess the Mac is required to develop the apps and some kind of plugin for Exchange is used to distribute the apps and manage the device profiles.

I think a lot of Mac Minis are going the be sold as dev systems ;-)

I thought they did say you had to have a Mac and I believe 6 iPhones to be in the Beta (off the top of my head). I would send in the application and find out about it.
