Personally, I don’t think Apple will delay the iPhone event. My money is on the announcement on Tuesday 07, 2021 at around 10:00AM PST for press invites.
As far as the Apple Watch goes. It might be delayed to a few weeks to a month.

That’s exactly what’s going to happen. But I really hope the reports are false. Because same reports came out last year for Apple Watch being delayed and pre-ordering started right after the event! Go figure!

Nope! Apple has been very tight lipped about everything. My guess is Tuesday.

Since its online they have been a littler more restrictive with the announcements. If it was a live event, we'd surely know when it was happening. Since its virtual, Apple could very well make the announcement for the event to be held the following week.
Agree if it was a live event, we’d know by now if it was 7th September - in 2019 the sent invites out on 29th August for a 10th September event. As there’s no one travelling who will need to book hotels/flights, Apple can announce later like a weeks notice in 2020 (September 8th announcement for event on 15th). I don’t think production problems of the Apple Watch will delay the event as the iPhone 12 max and mini weren‘t available until mid November but still got announced at the 2020 iPhone event. If the production problems are big enough that it won’t be available until next year, they could just edit out the Apple Watch parts of the video to be included at a later date, such as the expected announcement of the the new macbook pros or the bigger iMac. My guess is that they’ll try and push for a release this year as it’s quite a popular holiday gift.
Yep announcement next Tuesday. I still think they will announce the watch otherwise it’s gonna be a very short keynote and if it’s not ready for pre-orders then provide an October/November date
