There’s a way, aka using plastic frame and back. Plastic is exactly why there are many Android phones with hefty 5000 and 6000 mAh batteries, yet they weigh less than iPhones.
True, but as a frame, plastic is more bendable and less durable than aluminum. I have a feeling that Apple keeps trying a more durable material (series 7000 aluminum, then stainless steel, and rumored titanium) was due to bendgate. That must have left a deep scar with the design team. 😀 I don't see Apple every going back to plastic, which is unfortunate.
