iPhone Fully Recognized in iTunes and SSH-able No SpringBoard

As the title states, springboard won't load on launch. It doesnt even attempt to load, I can get in and sync with iTunes, SSH and do whatever, but springboard doesnt appempt to launch and if i use the "exec" command to try to launch it I get an error and ssh craps out. I haven't modded springboard at all, but is there any reason it should do this and any way to get out of it without a full restore.
