iPhone giving storage full warning when settings says over 200gb free

Hi

I was downloading some films to watch on my phone and I keep getting a storage full warning but when I look in settings it says I have over 200gb free.

Has anyone seen this and have any advice please?

One thing I would add is that files downloaded from iCloud were not showing on the storage list but I’ve been through and removed the download of everything I could see.
But there was no way that added up to 200gb.

Attached is a screen shot of my storage.
I have a 12 Pro Max 500gb.
I am running 17.5.1.
I have 6th iCloud storage and wifi backups enabled.
I have photo optimisation on.

Haven’t seen that… but update to 17.6.1 is my first step advice.

iOS storage display discrepancy was a not uncommon problem in the early days of iOS 17. I haven’t heard complaints about it lately - until your post
