iphone gps satellite info

On all of my Handheld gps units I have a page which shows all of the satellites locked and what their signal strength is. It also shows 2d or 3d lock.
I haven't found any apps with this sort of screen. Is this an SDK limitation? Does the iPhone gps pass raw NMEA data to the app?

I think it's a software issue.
If the app provider included it within the program my guess is it could display more gps details.
