I put my iPhone 4 next to my Sony alarm clock when it's charging and when I'm sleeping, and I can hear the annoying GSM buzz in the speaker of the alarm clock at random times and it keeps me up. Any way to solve this annoyance? I heard it was due to poorly shielded speakers? Thanks! This is the alarm clock I have:

Sarcasmville.
Nothing you can do. Anything cheap will make that noise (and that happens to include my otherwise very nice Bose Companion 3). And from the phones I've tested (all iPhone 3Gs) some will buzz, and some won't.

My phone will make my cheap alarm clock buzz from 5 meters away, it goes berserk next to it, while mum's phone won't.

Were you on Edge?

I have the same alarm clock. No sounds except when the phone is on edge.
