iPhone home button issue

Hello Mac rumors people. The issue I'm facing when I double tap it won't go to multitasking. I tried multiples times some times it works and sometimes it does not it's annoying me.

The home button does not feel right when I double tap.

There something wrong with the home button that's why it won't let me mutitask and it won't let me close apps in the background.

The home button feels crunchy

What can I do now ?

Put some rubbing alcohol on the tip of your finger and put a drop on the home button. Then pressed into it and rub your finger around. This should clean up the gunk inside.

Then go to Accessibility in your Settings app and turn on AssistiveTouch. You can also double tap to bring up the multitask with that virtual button. This is what happens ig you have an older iPhone sans Touch ID and doesn't have a back button or double tap to wake up and off screen. You will end up with a worn out physical home button. Just turn on AssistiveTouch and you should be good though.

I already got my phone replaced 5 times

What should I do?

Should I escalate this to Apple care or just take it to the apple store could they replace the screen with new home button ?

You are probably getting close to blacklisted. Home button and screen are together. If you can demonstrate that is does not work at the Apple store they should replace it if under warranty.

I had android before glaxay s3 I switched to iPhone but 5 replacements now going to get my 6 device seems I'm doing something wrong but not sure what

I will wait and see what Apple care says

I counted my repairs it adds up to 3 replacements not 5 my bad

All fixed they replaced the screen with a new home button

Mine is also crunchy. But nothing else wrong
