Treo

I had a 600p with Verizon and a couple of third party apps that rarely crashed. However, i gave it up in February for a less bulky LG 8600. Way less bells and whistles but had bluetooth and fit in my pocket. Voice quality on the LG is also excellent. Plus, Palm had already removed my favorite Palm feature, Grafitti. My employer provides me with a Blackberry for when I really need mobile e-mail.

I won't do the IPhone as good as it looks because my experience with Cingular/ATT and that of friends has been terrible. What I need in a cell phone is good coverage, good voice quality and ease of use in a car.

Having been a RAZR user pre iPhone, I've been wondering why Treos and Blackberrys are so popular...so I have been looking and playing with several of my friends bricks....What are people thinking...this is last century interface technology...Ugly and difficult...There simply is no comparison.

Are there any treo features that you miss?
The ability to predict the tidal flow in Port Merion. That darn balloon keeps catching me.

Treo 650 to iPhone

I don't know about the rest of you, but I've found the phone quality on the iPhone to be far superior to my 650.

There are some glitches with the iPhone that I'm sure most of you have found by now, mostly with the iCal function. I had heard the iCal is getting a major revamping with Leopard. I'm looking forward to that. I'm DEFINITELY looking forward to the first (of many) software upgrades for the iPhone.

One big difference between the Treo and the iPhone is that I had to reset the Treo several times a week, or it would just reboot itself. Not the case with the iPhone.

Quality, quality, quality!!! The iPhone is just a slick, quality piece of machinery. I was really annoyed with the Treo's paint coming off of a lot of the buttons. Very annoying when you spend $500 for it.
