Hi Guys,

Upgrading to the iPhone 4S soon and looking at a few insurance plans. Found ProtectMyBubble but that seems the best so far.

Any other insurers that you know of, who cover loss that is?

Cheers,
A

Where do you live? Who is your carrier? I have 2 insurances, overkill I know but I can afford it and it gives me peace of mind which is priceless. AppleCare+ gives me easy protection from accidental damage for $99; $49 per incident. And I also have a monthly insurance plan through my carrier (Asurion) at 6.99/mo that covers theft and loss; $199 deductible. So I'm covered at all fronts.

Your options really depend on where you are. Some warranty are only valid in the US or within a specific time after the purchase of the phone.

I just use AppleCare+ for our two iPhones. Good for two years and two replacements each.

Applecare+ phone insurance is worthless they replaced my stolen 4 for 169 dollars so theres no need for Asurion

Ah sorry didn't notice the op mentioned for loss.

My post is bad actually Applecare+ is good asurion is worthless because its 199 if you lose your iPhone which is the same price apple charges for a replacement 4S and 169 for the 4 so why waste money paying every month to still have to pay that high of a deductible

Like many have said , AppleCare + is great , great for resale or you can cash it out for the time you have left if ya sell. No loss but that's what your hands and eyes are for:D

Gotcha, It's not my week for reading comprehension!

Not completely worthless. It would be $849 for me to replace my iPhone 4S right now if I lost it. I ride a lot of rollercoasters, so it is worth it to me to pay for extra insurance for loss and theft. Everything else I have AppleCare+.

Apple replaces them for 199 the same as the deductible plus Apple doesn't charge you 9.99 a month to do it just the 1 time replacement fee of 199 for the 4S,169 for the 4.

I don't think the $199 replacement cost covers loss or theft. I'm pretty sure it's for damaged phones only.

AFAIK, Apple won;t simply replace your iPhone if it's lost for the price you mention. You actually have to give them your broken iPhone. If you lose it, Apple will tell you to buy another at off-contract pricing.
