iPhone iPod app scrolling slow

Ever since OS 3.1.1, and still with 3.1.2, the scrolling/swiping on my iPhone's iPod is very slow.

There are no problems with Safari and all other apps that I have scrolling.

Any ideas how to get the iPod add working normally again?
