Got on the subway this morning, put on my ipod on my iphone, listened to the first track of the album and then, rather than playing the next track it just stopped. Tried it again (ffwd through the track to the end) and it did the same thing. So now it only plays one track at a time and, strangely, when it finishes the track it shuts the ipod function and returns to the navigation page, almost like the ipod is switching itself off.

Anyone else experience this? It was working fine last night and I haven't touched any of the settings since then.

If I have to I'll restore it, just wanted to check if there was a simple fix first as this will be the third time I've had to restore in 2 months and it's getting a little annoying.

Thanks
John.

I've signed up to reply to you robbington. I have the same problem on my week old iPhone 3GS. I've usd the iPod to watch video and audio before but this morning on the way to work i went to listen to the iPod music feature but it only plays one song at a time. I've tried evrything I can think of bu nothing has fixed it.

Hopefully someoneknows a fix because for this to. E happening to a week old iPhone is a joke.

Btw, using my iPhone on the train to report this bug woo!

I would recommend just restoring it.
Seems like it's a software bug.

EDIT: Of course, something could be wrong with the song too. Try playing it in iTunes and see what happens.

I restored my phone last night and it's working fine now. The iPod function is shuffling tunes with no problems and no longer cutting out immediately after the first song.

Just restore it and regain your sanity.

Exactly.
Glad it worked out for you.
