For approximately the last month there has been issues with my wifi on both the iPhone& iPod touch; wifi will be fine and then disconnects for no reason. iPhone goes into Edge mode and sometimes I have to go into settings to access wifi again. Can someone assist with this issue?

Thanks

What iPhone model are you using? iPod Touch model? iPhone OS version on iPhone and iPod Touch? Is the internet disconnecting from both devices at the same time or different times randomly between each? Also, is the internet disconnecting from a computer you have setup to the same network? Thanks.

iPhone is 3G OS

No, it doesn't seem to be at the same as far as internet disconnecting & it isn't effecting any laptops in the house, they are set up on the same wifi network.

Is there a reason why the iPhone rarely uses the 3G and more than often switches to Edge? Safari is so slow on Edge as well as on wifi.

Not concerned so much with the iPod touch since this is less frequent. The iPod touch was new at Christmas 2009.

Any suggestions are very much appreciated!
