iPhone X iPhone is Disabled Try Again in X minutes

lately I have been getting this error message when I take my iPhone X out of my pocket. Is it because something is tapping the screen and waking it and causing Face ID to fail while in my pocket? I turned off Raise to Wake and Tap to Wake but that’s not very convenient.

I don’t use raise to wake only tap to wake and I haven’t ever had an issue. Maybe you should try to disable raise to wake only and see if it solves the problem

Sounds like the phone is trying to unlock multiple times while in your pocket.
