iPhone keyboard letters not vertically aligned any more?

I might be crazy, but the letters on the default iPhone keyboard seem to be shifted to the the top. They are not vertically aligned. I measured 38 points margin to the top of the button and 45 points to the bottom. I could swear that this was fine in iOS 18 (I have no 2nd device to check). Is there a reason for this? It really annoys me.

You're right: the H is vertically centred in iOS 18.
