I might be crazy, but the letters on the default iPhone keyboard seem to be shifted to the the top. They are not vertically aligned. I measured 38 points margin to the top of the button and 45 points to the bottom. I could swear that this was fine in iOS 18 (I have no 2nd device to check). Is there a reason for this? It really annoys me.

Thank you for checking out. But it seems that nobody cares? I guess I will adapt, but still...

You don't need a second device to check, just use a 3rd party app that hasn't been updated for iOS 26 and you will get the old keyboard.

You are completely right! Checked an app that didn't get updated for a while (NetNewsWire) and it got the old keyboard. This is completely Microsoft style with layers upon layers of legacy stuff. Weird.
I now have to adapt to two different keyboard layouts? Why, Apple? 😭
