Which keyboard does everyone use with the iPhone? The standard one? It seems swiftkey is no longer available - I recently upgraded phones and there's no swiftkey download available for IOS. While swiftkey had its shortcomings, I liked it and can't find anything that comes close, not that I've tried a whole lot of apps. The only other keyboard I've tried in depth is Flesky which I don't like. The main issue with Flesky is auto-correct. It's horrible. Thanks.

SwiftKey is back in the App Store on iOS. Microsoft brought it back and is upgrading it pretty regularly now.

As far as answering your question, I mainly use the default keyboard although I have both SwiftKey and Gboard installed, which I occasionally switch to when the default keyboard makes me angry enough to change. 😁

I use SwiftKey pretty much exclusively on my iPad Mini because I can swipe-type that way.

Interesting. I was able to install swiftkey, but it doesn't work. I just assumed that it wasn't available. Canyda, have you checked to see if your swiftkey actually works?

Edit to add - when I first bought my new phone 2 months ago, there was no swiftkey download available. Now it seems to be available but as mentioned, it doesn't work.

Oh yeah, my SwiftKey works just fine on both my iPhone 11 and iPad Mini.

And I had previously deleted the app entirely when Microsoft delisted it and then installed fresh again when MS brought it back.

Go into your Settings/General/Keyboards and make sure you have Full Access turned on for SwiftKey.

This is me typing to you with SwiftKey

Canyda, thanks so much for responding and for your patience.

My understanding is that swiftkey will work on IOS if installed prior to Microsoft making whatever change they made (I still don't understand.) It works on my iPad but it was installed before this issue. So, if I may ask another question - was swiftkey installed on your phone before these changes occurred? Sorry if I wasn't clear, which clearly I wasn't :)

Yes. I used SwiftKey for years before Microsoft announced they were shutting it down and delisting it from the App Store.

When it got delisted, I deleted it off my iPhone and iPad, and used only Gboard as my alt keyboard.

When Microsoft later brought it back to the App Store, I downloaded it again and installed it, and used the "Sign in with Apple ID" option to create a new account for myself in the app.
