iPhone loan program - turning in with cracked screen

Question in regards to the iPhone loan program. I was one of the lucky ones to get a Nov 3 ship date. My current iPhone (7 Plus) has a small crack on the screen. I haven't used Apple Care yet to replace the screen. If I turn in the iPhone will Apple just charge me the $29 to fix it or will I get dinged more because I traded it in with a cracked screen?

In the FAQ it just says you’ll be charged the $29.
